Had the opportunity to attend the monthly meeting of the Henry Leavenworth Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution last night. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit! Met some great people, patriots all, along with author Ed Toy, who wrote Pressure Plate (Xlibris). The program was ceremonial, with uniforms, flags, awards and recognition, offering entertaining insight into not very well known events that occurred during our own American Revolution. My wife and I got the opportunity to ‘muster’ for John Nelson, a great-grandfather and Revolutionary War Patriot. I was even gifted some free genealogical research by John Schatzel. Will definitely follow up on that!
