Robert E. Lofthouse

Rob Lofthouse, literary award winner, including the MWSA Bronze Medal, is a sought-after speaker, bestselling author, author coach, genealogist and historian.

He has traced his family lineage back to Plymouth Colony in 17th century America, and serves with the Sons of the American Revolution as Committee Chair in the Kansas State Society, General Chairman of the Kansas City area George Washington Birthday Celebration, and Treasurer of the Henry Leavenworth Chapter.

He is Treasurer of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 75 in Leavenworth and past Vice President with the Village West Rotary Club in Kansas City. He has served in various leadership capacities with many Project Management Institute (PMI®) committees.

He currently assists the Frontier Museum of the United States Army Foundation in Leavenworth as their Program Manager.

He has authored the biography Honor Through Sacrifice, co-written Two Stitches And A Patch, overcoming the power of grief through faith and will be releasing his third book, The Best Year of Our Lives, telling the story about the thrill of victory and agony of defeat from the perspective of a small-town Pennsylvania high school football team.

Rob is currently writing a historical book about a large city rescue mission, editing an autobiography and ghostwriting another as well as developing a movie screenplay.

Rob volunteers as an Ambassador and Book Reviewer for the Military Writer’s Society of America (MWSA), serving as The William “Rev. Bill” McDonald Scholarship Chair and is a Director-At-Large. He is also a member of the Kansas Author’s Club and has recently joined the Fisher House Board as a Director.

He served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps before accomplishing a successful information technology career, retiring as Vice President of Delivery at a local IT services firm.

As a writing coach, he provides guidance and mentorship to authors at any stage of writing. Helping authors stay on track with deadlines, overcoming writer’s block, and maintaining motivation throughout the writing process, Rob serves as an author’s personal champion, helping them navigate their creative process and become a stronger writer, ultimately achieving their publishing goals.

He is currently pursuing an oral storytelling certification from the Mid-continent Public Library in Liberty, Missouri.
